I have moved

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

So I have! Thanks to Zeus and his kindness, and nadnut’s enthusiastic promotion (nuffnang, are you hearing this?), I am part of the nuffnang community with a new blog to boot. So go on and click on the image above to visit the new place.

I am forever indebted, Zeus!

By the way, it does work! nadnut and sheylara are so smitten by their nuffnang ads, they are pondering their own nike products!

hate cabbies?

Tuesday, May 15th, 2007

read this.

Opinions about cab drivers are almost as diverse as the people who constitute what is one of our most put-upon professions; some of us love ‘em, others despise, some complain constantly about the standard of service, others are well aware what a demanding and dangerous job it is.

I need friends like that

Anyone? Just kidding… not really.

Anyway, it’s going to be the birthdays of 3 of the men that I adore and love, mainly my Brother (no Man U jersey for you this year - I’ve run out of ideas and the Man U store closed), Mr LamPa, and my buddy Supanova. Their birthdays are one after another, each in a week.

It’ll be fun - LP just had his groin poked, Supanova has his papers starting on the 18th, and there is rife speculation whether my brother’s girlfriend would officially become my 大嫂 soon.

will they get it on, or not?

Monday, May 7th, 2007

I am getting intrigued by the newest story line (#868 onwards) at QC. I was a little dismayed that Angus (or the AskingForIt Guy, or the Argument Guy) was getting something from Faye, but well, as sitcoms go, we can all predict the ending. They drew him a little different - almost kinda and not so jerk-looking this time.

But very, very interesting though. Immensely interesting. Can’t wait for the next episode everyday at noon (GMT +8)!

And one thing - I wish that these webcomics (including SomethingPositive.net) have search functions so I can look for a particular storyline or character! I was looking for an adoption storyline in SomethingPositive and short of going through page by page there’s nearly no way to find it. Maybe there is but I’m just too stupid!

Horrible F1 Accident

Monday, May 7th, 2007

I don’t usually care for F1 - to me, it’s something stupid and obstructive. But when I saw this photo, I thought, oh how horrible! (more…)

xiaxue advertises?

Monday, May 7th, 2007

This is kinda old (match it to moby sky’s entry) but I guess I forgot about it lying in my folders. Anyway, I think if he found out he might be puking with disgust. I find it funny though.

so… xx advertises! hmmm

download free music

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

Because next Tuesday is a public holiday, I’ll have more time to burn this weekend (instead of having to do my chores, etc). I’ll be downloading free local music from this website. Woohoo I love local indie music! If there were CDs for sale, I would buy them. But it’s so hard to find them nowadays, and these versions are great samplers, especially their live version.

Instead of waving the Singapore flag once a year, I listen to these music. Local indie music rocks.

modernburrow gives good tips for the fashion problematic.

Also the other day I used the toilet, and it smelt like cheap cologne. I assumed that it was the deodorant used by the cleaning company. It turned out to be the other guy pissing in the toilet.

dear Aunt Agony

Saturday, April 7th, 2007

This is an Aunt Agony column you won’t see in our Teens Magazine. For all the lack of posts, this is one of the reasons why I continue to read her fine blog. And my favourite one was:

Dear Aunt Agony

I have exceptionally small breasts, but my boyfriend said size doesn’t matter. Is that true?

Confused

Dear Confused

Of course not. He said that only to get you into bed. I bet he’s sleeping with another girl now.

men who spoil market

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

I have a lot of guy friends, and boyfriend-treating-girlfriend wise, they range from the usual “the most important things to me are my car and my girlfriend (car comes first)” to the “arrange flower petals with candles around her bed so can wish her a sweet happy birthday at 12mn” kind.

but then there are the occasional spoil market korean-weepie-drama kind of guys, that really really really, well, make women sigh and men curse when we read about what they did. Here are a few examples:

One colleague saw Big and me at Starbucks when he bought noodles for me from his place, and raved about how sweet he was to buy noodles for me all the way from his office, which isn’t very near mine. News spread like wildfire throughout the department and now with the BIG bouquet of white roses sitting prettily in my office and duly wowed over by the colleagues, Big is now officially known as the “sweetest boyfriend a girl can have”. Heh.

Read it and weep!

So I want YOU to follow this pic: (and don’t think I is cannot see your drooling mouth)

Read this and weep!

This is a good thing. Women have waited all their brief miserable lives for men like me.

  1. Will you bring my mom to the dentist? - Yes
  2. Can you lick me down there? - Yes
  3. Harder - Yes
  4. Faster - Yes
  5. Right there, right there - Yes

Ya la, I blogged about this just now la.

And the final one is this one with her birthday present in 4 installments!

At about 12.40am, ‘Good Fren’ turned up at my gate and passed me the final instalment!! I realised all 4 gifts were stuff I have seen and commented on earlier. And he was quite smug about getting them and arranging them in order of ascending surprise levels. Couldn’t wait till dinner to pass me the 4th instalment.

So these are but a few.. (can remember, cannot find the blog entry hahaha)

Of course you have the other extreme..

squarebrain.net: all sorts of people

but that’s a story for another time.
